Funding
We get our funding from a variety of sources:
- Just over half our income comes from our work as one of the 49 strong national network of County Sports Partnerships (CSP). In particular, Sport England invests in Sport Cheshire to:
- deliver services for national governing bodies
- provide elements of the mass participation legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, 'Places People Play' initiative
- contribute to the organisation of the Cheshire & Warrington School Games
- deliver programmes for young people and those with disabilities.

Other investment comes from the Department of Health (via the Youth Sports Trust) for our involvement in Change 4 Life Sports Clubs - an initiative to build sustainable secondary Change 4 Life Clubs. We are required to establish school-club community links and develop the associated workforce.
- We have annually funded Service Levels Agreements with both Cheshire East and Warrington Borough Councils - to find out more, click here.
- In addition, we have a contract with Cheshire West and Chester council to deliver their sport development function (the first CSP nationally to secure such a contract), awarded to us after a competitive tendering process last summer.
- We offer paid services to help us not only balance the books but, most importantly, help us realise our mission of creating a world-leading community sport system locally. You can commission us directly to provide a range of bespoke services to your organisation. To find out more, click here.
