Cheshire West and Chester Council Rate Relief

Cheshire West and Chester Council has reviewed its Discretionary Rate Relief policy for the period 2012/2013 onwards. As a result, all sports clubs currently in receipt of rate relief must undergo a reassessment. Clubs affected by these changes have been contacted by CWaC Council to advise them that they must re-apply for discretionary relief.
Sport Cheshire is keen to support all sports clubs with this process, to try and ensure they receive as much relief as possible.
An update - January 2012
Cheshire West and Chester Council has reviewed its Discretionary Rate Relief policy for sports clubs for the period 2012/13 onwards. As a result, all sports clubs currently in receipt of rate relief must undergo a review. Clubs affected by these changes were contacted by Cheshire West and Chester Council in November 2011 to advise them that they must re-apply for discretionary relief.
Sport Cheshire is keen to support all sports clubs with this process and can offer clubs advice and guidance on completing the new application. For those clubs that have already submitted an application, you will be contacted directly by the Business Rates team from Cheshire West and Chester Council no later than April 2012 to confirm the clubs new level of discretionary rate relief.
