Sport Makers

We are contracted by Sport England to roll out Sport Makers, a major part of Sport England's national legacy programme, 'Places People Play', across our patch. Last week, this fantastic new programme to train and inspire new volunteers in sport and physical activity rolled into Crewe. The convention, Cheshire's second in a series over the next few months, took place at Crewe Alexandra F.C. and saw 40 enthusiastic new volunteers in attendance. The evening consisted of a range of fun and interactive workshops centred around getting others active in an enjoyable and safe way.

The event was a great success, with attendees and facilitators enjoying themselves. One Sport Maker tweeted 'Sport Makers workshop yesterday in Crewe was great! Excited to get people involved in sport!'
